Things are going from bad to worse in Assam as the devastating floods continue to wreak havoc across the state. 32 of the state’s 33 districts have been affected by the floods, some of them for more than a week now.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) officials,around 44.96 lakh people across 4,620 villageshave been hit by the deluge, out of which more than one lakh people have been shifted to relief camps So far 14 people have been confirmed dead in the state in flood-related mishaps.
