Positive start
There was a positive start from the Boks, who moved 17 points ahead in the first half. Jasper Wiese and Siya Kolisi both touched down while Frans Steyn added two conversions and a penalty, but the visitors came back into the match.
Tries from Gonzalo Bertranou and Juan Martin Gonzalez reduced the arrears to 17-14 and effectively ended the hosts’ Rugby Championship ambitions.
