Balakot is earthquake prone area and their residents are quite accustomed to the shifting of the tectonic plates and the IAF’s strike did woke them in the middle of the night thinking that nature has asked for the mandatory attendance. The sleepy town in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was devastated in 2005 earthquake with Kashmir being the epicentre and was rebuilt with assistance from Saudi Arabia.
