Public Hearing Planned To Discuss Heritage Quarries Area Improvements

LEMONT, IL — The Village of Lemont will hold a public hearing on Sept. 12, to discuss improvement of amenities in the Heritage Quarries/I&M Canal Trail area.

The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Lemont Public Works, 16680 New Ave., in Lemont.

Village Manager George Schafer told Patch that the Village is applying for a grant through the state to make improvements in the Heritage Quarry Recreation Area. In order to qualify for the state funding, a public meeting must be held on the proposed project.
