Pogba is unsettled at United and is attracting interest from the LaLiga giants, while his old club Juventus are also said to be keen.
But Real remain front runners to sign the Frenchman, who United bought from Juve for £89m in 2016.
Bernabeu chief Zinedine Zidane has identified his compatriot as a key signing to turn around his side’s fortunes after a dreadful season.
He has already landed Eden Hazard ,Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Rodrygo in a near-£300m spree.
Earlier this month, Pogba publicly admitted he is open to a new challenge and the controversial playmaker could prove a handful if he doesn’t get his way.
He said: “After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season, it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
And according to the Mirror, Old Trafford chiefs have placed a £150m asking price on Pogba’s head for any potential suitor.
Should Real push forward with their attempts to sign the 26-year-old, they would need to shift some players out of their squad.
Gareth Bale is deemed surplus to requirements at the club but Real chiefs are struggling to include him in any deal due to his astronomical wages.
The former Spurs forward is settled in the Spanish capital and does not feel the need to rush back to the Premier League, with three years left on his current deal worth £600,000-a-week.
Wilfried Zaha always wanted to join Arsenal and has supported the club from a young age
