Newcastle could miss out on signing Salomon Rondon this summer with Fenerbache now targeting the striker.
Rondon has been a popular figure with the Magpies this season while on loan from West Brom.
The 29-year-old netted 11 Premier League goals in 32 games for Rafa Benitez’s side.
Newcastle have stalled on a potential permanent deal for Rondon, who has a £16.5million release clause.
They are understood to not have made West Brom any offers yet.

Jansspor report that Fenerbache see Rondon as their main transfer target this summer.
They say sporting director Damien Comolli will soon hold talks with Rondon’s representative Juan Rodriguez.
Comolli is well-placed to deal with English teams having worked for Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool in the past.
