Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been told he can leave the club this summer, according to reports.
Lukaku joined the Red Devils for £75m in 2017 and had a solid first season at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho after leaving Everton.
However, he seemingly has no place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s set-up and the club are now willing to part ways with their front man.
While Solskjaer is said to be happy for Lukaku to fight for his place, The Sun report Old Trafford chiefs have told the Belgian he can join Inter Milan if they cough up the right amount for him.
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is set to take the reins at the San Siro and is a huge admirer of the striker.
United are confident of recouping the fee they paid to Everton for the striker and reports in Italy earlier this week stated Lukaku was willing to take a pay cut to join up with the Italian.
A fee of around £75m would significantly boost Solskjaer’s spending power in the summer.
The Norwegian is said to be targeting a new right-back, midfielder, right-winger and striker to replace Lukaku up front.
Swansea youngster Daniel James is expected to become the first signing of the summer for the Red Devils, with United reportedly close to agreeing a deal with the Welsh club.
