Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could not believe the size of new signing Sepp van den Berg upon meeting him for the first time.
It was announced last week that the Dutch centre-back would be signing for the European champions, and he has now joined up with the team for pre-season training.
Upon arriving, he was filmed by club videographers, who captured his brief chats with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and then his new manager.
It was Oxlade-Chamberlain who first greeted the 17-year-old, before Klopp walked in and straight away said: “My god you’re tall. That’s impressive.”

Van den Berg outsized the German, who is rarely towered over due to his own 6ft 4ins stature.
The pair then spoke and joked for a short period before Klopp declared: “Let’s get started.”
After his first day at Melwood, Van den Berg told Liverpoolfc.com: “It’s been great. When I walked in, I was quite nervous, but I talked to the players and the staff and I feel at home. It feels good.
“Everybody has been really nice to me, they all said ‘hi’ and helped me if I had any questions, so it feels a really nice place.
“Jürgen came to me when I walked in, too, so I’m really excited.”
