MANVILLE, NJ — The family-run Kettleman’s Bagels & Deli is expanding to open its third location in Somerset County.
The hand-rolled bagel shop will be opening at 313 S Main St. in Manville — inside the former Manville Chiropractic Center, next to the CVS Pharmacy Plaza.
Basking Ridge native Sam Abdo, who owns Kettleman’s Bagels with his brother Hass, told Patch they are currently in the “construction phase.”

An opening date has yet to be announced.
The Abdo brothers opened their first location in 2009 in Somerset followed by their second location in Bridgewater in November 2022.

What sets Kettleman’s Bagels apart from other places is their attention to detail.
“There are 20 different intimate ways of perfecting how a bagel is made,” Abdo previously told Patch.
Factors include what ingredients are used, the temperature of the water, the timing of dough rising, how long to boil a bagel, and what type of oven to use.
“The most important factor is that we hand roll our bagels,” said Abdo. “We hand roll every single bagel. We have a master roller just for that.”
