Speaking in an interview with TF1, Rennes left-back Faitout Maouassa was asked to respond to how reported interest from Manchester United affected his perspective on whether he wants to remain with the Ligue 1 club or not.
“Obviously, with the season that we have done, I want to say that I think we are all a bit sought after. But for me personally, I feel good at Rennes. This year, there will be European football, there are not really any reasons for me to leave as I feel really good here. Honestly, it does not affect me (reports that Manchester United are watching him). It is nice. Of course it is really nice to see that clubs like that are interested in me. It is a real source of joy. But as I have said I feel really good at Rennes, I feel good and I am keeping my feet on the ground.”
