JOLIET, IL — Just when it seemed like the ACE Drive-In on Plainfield Road may not open for the 2023 summer season, there’s some positive news to start the week. ACE posted on its Facebook page on Monday that it’s opening day is later this week, on Thursday, April 27.
ACE is located at 1207 Plainfield Road.
ACE, a Joliet tradition since 1949, will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Two weeks ago, the restaurant announced on Facebook that it could not open because of problems with its fire suppression unit inside the restaurant. ACE let fans know it was doing everything possible to get the problem resolved in the hope of opening as quickly as possible.
