The district police have booked a woman identified as Kavita Dhamija of Shiv Colony, Karnal, for allegedly cheating on his ‘fifth’ husband. The latter, Puranchand Saini, an employee with the BSNL, has accused that Kavita had earlier taken divorce from three persons and she had even duped them of around Rs 15 lakh and gold jewellery worth lakhs.
Saini’s wife had died in 2010 after she was diagnosed with cancer and had a son (25) and daughter (19) from her. He made plans for a second marriage so that his children are taken care of. In this regard, he gave an advertisement in a newspaper, after which Kavita’s father Gurcharan called him and discussed his daughter’s marriage prospects.

Saini has claimed that Kavita was still in touch with her fourth husband Om Prakash and she had cheated on him by marrying him without informing about her ongoing relationship with Om.
