Who can Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham and Chelsea face in Champions League last-16? Premier League sides set for Monday’s draw

The Champions League group stage is complete and the draw for the last-16 will be made on Monday – and all four Premier League sides will be in the pot.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea have qualified from their groups and are now awaiting news of their opponents in the knockout phase.

The draw is scheduled to begin on Monday at 11am and is taking place at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Teams can’t face their group stage rivals or clubs from their own association, meaning there will not be any Premier League clashes at this stage.

But some high-profile ties are set to be drawn with a host of top European clubs in the pot.

Here’s who the Premier League big guns could get.

Who can Premier League sides face in last-16?

Liverpool

The reigning European champions will be drawn against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, Atalanta or Atletico Madrid.

Their best case scenario would be a draw with Lyon, who are seventh in Ligue 1, while the worst scenario would be Real Madrid who have won the tournament in four of the last six seasons.

Manchester City

The Premier League champions could face Napoli, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon or Atletico Madrid.

Like Liverpool, Lyon would be the best scenario and Real Madrid would be the worst. Napoli, who took four points off Liverpool in the group stage, would also be a tough test.

Tottenham

Last season’s Champions League runners-up could face Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig or Valencia.

Valencia, currently eighth in La Liga, would be their best scenario while La Liga champions Barcelona could await in their worst case.

Chelsea

Chelsea, who won the tournament in 2012, face a difficult opponent in the next round with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain or RB Leipzig lying in wait.

Arguably, Bundesliga high-fliers RB Leipzig would be best but the champions of four of Europe’s major leagues are also possible.
