Floods in India were responsible for the highest economic losses amounting to $45.7 billion between 1998 and 2017 as per a recent report.
Hindustan Times reported losses that were caused to India doubled within 10 years till 2017 as opposed to the previous decade of 1998-2007. The alarming figures were highlighted in a new report published by the Action on Climate Today, a UK-based initiative that works with South Asian governments to build resilience against climate change.
