IAF Says With Proof That Pakistan F 16 Was Shot Down After US Report Said All F-16s Were Accounted For

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has reiterated its earlier stand that an F-16 fighter jet of Pakistan Air Force was shot down by India on February 27. In a statement, IAF said, “during the aerial engagement, one MiG 21 Bison of the IAF shot down an F-16 in Nowshera sector.”

PTI quoting IAF sources reported that there is conclusive “circumstantial evidence” including wireless intercepts, signals and graphics captures from airborne warning and control system (AWACS) and electronic signatures to conclude that the F-16 jet was shot down during the aerial combat.

The development came after the US reportedly concluded that all F-16 owned by Pakistan are still accounted for.
