The government reportedly took this step afterChief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the matter. Their appointment will most likelyclear the growing backlog of cases in the apex court.
But there’s an interesting story behind it all. These four judges have one thing in common: the year 1982.
