Woodshock, the upcoming thriller from Rodarte founders Kate and Laura Mulleavy, has promised to be trippy and cannabinoid-infused, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there are a few loose joints rolling around the set. It did come as a surprise to star Kirsten Dunst, however, when she mistook a real joint for one of the prop weed-free joints they had rolled for the movie.
“I wasn’t eating that much at the time, and so after we were done with the scene, I go back to this little bedroom to rest, and I started to feel like I was losing my mind,” Dunst told Jimmy Kimmel on his show Tuesday night. “I went to the bathroom. I’m pacing. I’m shaking. I’m hot. I’m just flipping out.”
One producer used his deductive reasoning and diagnosed Dunst as, to use the medical term, stoned out of her mind. “And we’re talking about Humboldt weed,” the actress explained, referring to the stoner-friendly California county where the movie was filmed. “I was crying, laughing, eating a peanut butter sandwich. I couldn’t film anymore! They sent me home!”
