Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille have identified Montpellier HSC central midfielder Morgan Sanson as a possible signing.
Reports from Le 10 Sport suggesting that an offer has been put on the table are however farfetched at the time of writing. The arrival of Maxime Lopez on the scene, the precocious attacking midfield talent, has made the signing of a forward-thinking central midfielder less of a priority than it was when Frank McCourt first bought the club.
Morgan Sanson was asked about the reported interest by BeIN Sports:
“An interest from Marseille? Yes, I have read a lot of things, but, as I have already said, I am remaining 100% concentrated on Montpellier for the moment. I am coming back well, I am savouring it, but I remain truly concentrated in order to continue my progression and I work everyday with Montpellier in my head.”
