Aston Villa fans can breathe a sigh of relief: left-back Jordan Amavi has definitively rejected a move to Marseille for this month, according to our colleagues at L’Équipe.
A source close to the player explained the situation to the French newspaper:

“It is very gratifying to receive interest from Marseille but, today, Jordan wants to do an entire season in England in order to rediscover full physical fitness.”
Amavi was directly approached by the club in recent days, but he politely rejected them. He is expected to privilege a move to the Premier League over Marseille in the summer, but OM will still be an interesting proposition in the summer.
