Ouest-France report that Ligue 2 side Caen are in pole position to land 20-year-old central defender Thomas Basila from FC Nantes.
The player is interested in making a loan move in order to gain playing time and talks are ongoing between all the relevant parties. Caen boss Rui Almeida has taken a particular liking to the young Frenchman.
