TARRYTOWN, NY — With summer rapidly coming to an end, Goosefeather in Tarrytown has two special dining events that could help you ease your way past Labor Day.
For Wednesday, Sept. 6, Chef Dale Talde will create a multi-course tasting menu dinner for one night only. While the exact menu is still under construction, the culinary adventure includes an eight-course menu paired with sake and wine.
Tickets are $300 per person and include dinner, pairings and gratuity. For reservations, go here.

Dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the Garden. In the case of inclement weather, the dinner will be moved to Goosefeather’s covered outdoor patio.
The second special evening will be Goosefeather’s Bourbon N BBQ Cookout — from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 — which is a perfect way to end the summer and kick off the fall season.

The cookout will feature wood-fired chicken, barbecue pork ribs and sausage, sweet and spicy collard greens, Carolina gold rice, smoky baked beans and Stellum Bourbon.
Tickets are $95 per person and include self-service all-you-can-eat food, plus three drinks. There will be a cash bar for additional beverages. If you want table service, a pod can be reserved for $50. Reservations can be made here.
At the cookout, a DJ will be spinning tunes, and there will be lawn games for entertainment.
There is no rain date.
Talde told Patch that he is always looking to create programming that caters to the diverse range of guests at Goosefeather.
“Over the last several months, we hosted guest chefs like Einat Admony for a Middle Eastern dinner, we collaborated with David DiBari from Dough Nation for a pizza and Korean BBQ event, we did a pig roast with Wines Du Monde, we’ve done a high-end omakase dinner,” he said, “and we just did an Italian Wine dinner with our friends at Banville Wines.”
Talde said that, while the tasting menu dinner and the Bourbon N BBQ events are back to back, they attract different guests.
“The tasting menu dinner is really fun for me because I get to exercise my creativity and deliver something completely new for just one night,” he said. “This dinner will be really special for culinary adventurers and enthusiasts.”
Talde said the Bourbon N BBQ Cookout is more family friendly.
“It’s just a great way to bring the community together for a fun night of food, drinks and music,” he said.
“We love to see our friends and neighbors gather on the property and have a good time,” Talde said. “That’s what it’s all about.”
