Slain Teen ID'd; Third Person Wounded In Second Granada Hills Shooting

GRANADA HILLS, CA — A man was shot in the early morning hours in Granada Hills Friday – the third shooting victim in three days in the community.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 33-year-old man was hospitalized after an early morning shooting just after midnight at San Fernando Mission Road and Havenhurst Avenue.

The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition and there was no suspect description.

The shooting comes on the heels of a fatal shooting that took the life of 16-year-old boy and wounded and a two-year-old at Petit Park on Wednesday, investigators said. Authorities were investigating a possible gang-related motive for the shooting.

The Los Angeles County Medical Coroner’s office on Friday identified the slain teen as Thomas Kornswiet.
