Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has requested football fans from the LGBT community to display ‘a little bit of flex and compromise’, as per BBC.
Cleverly said fans travelling from England and Wales must be “respectful of the host nation”.

“These are Muslim countries, they have very different cultural starting point for us. I think it’s important when you’re a visitor to a country that you respect the culture of your host nation,” Cleverly told Sky News.
The decision to have a World Cup in Qatar, where homosexuality can result in a death sentence, has drawn a lot of criticism from LGBT groups.

Cleverly’s comments come after Qatari officials prevented UK campaigner Peter Tatchell from staging a protest for LGBT rights in Doha on October 25.
It’s the first FIFA World Cup to be held in the Middle East.
The tournament starts on November 20 and the final is on December 18.
It is also the first winter World Cup.
