Darien Swap Shop Reopens After Temporary Closure

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Swap Shop at the Transfer Station has reopened after a temporary closure.

First Selectman Monica McNally spoke about the reopening during her updates portion of Monday’s Board of Selectmen meeting. The Swap Shop closed on Feb. 27.

“We took some time to get the Swap Shop and our volunteers all organized for donations from your spring cleaning. Items donated to the Swap Shop would otherwise end up in the trash, which adds to our trash removal fees each year. Not only does the Swap Shop save the town money, it also makes usable items available to others. I want to thank all the volunteers who make this program possible,” McNally said.
