In ladies football, there are two quarter-finals in Clones. At 12:30, Armagh take on Donegal while it’s Dublin v Monaghan at 2:15.There’s intermediate camogie too with some semi-final action in Kilkenny. Waterford play Meath in Nowlan Park at 2pm while it’s followed by Cork v Clare.A number of Rugby World Cup warm-ups are set for tomorrow evening and there’s plenty of Irish interest with three of their Pool D opponents in action. Italy take on Scotland at 7pm, it’s France v England at 8pm while Canada clash with rivals USA at 9pm.

And the World Athletics Championship kicks off in Beijing this weekend. Ireland’s Mark English goes in his 800m heat at 4.50am GMT on Saturday morning (set those alarm clocks) while Thomas Barr has his 400m heat at 11.35am GMT.                                                  Showbiz, Baby!
