West Ham vs Manchester City team news: Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva named on bench for Premier League opener

Manchester City begin their Premier League title defence with a trip to West Ham on Saturday, LIVE on talkSPORT.

There is no room for Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva in the starting XI, who are both on the bench.

Pep Guardiola has given a competitive debut to summer signing Rodri, who starts alongside captain David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne in midfield.

City will be without Leroy Sane for the majority of the 2019/20 season after the winger damaged knee ligaments in the club’s Community Shield win over Liverpool last weekend.

The game comes too soon for injury-hit defender Benjamin Mendy, who is recovering from a knee problem.
