Opponents Kawasaki Frontale scored a winner after 86 minutes thanks to a back-post header from legendary Spurs transfer target Leandro Damiao.

The Brazilian forward never got his move to White Hart Lane but became a cult figure with supporters having been linked with switches to the club across several transfer windows.

A fine forward during his spell with Internacional between 2009-2013, he managed 33 league goals in 98 fixtures, seeing him play 13 times for the Brazil national team.

Meanwhile, he was also top scorer at the London 2012 Olympic Games during the time he was linked with a move to Tottenham.

The transfer didn’t materialise, however, and his form spiralled when he left for Santos in his homeland, resulting in several loan spells.

He’s now in Japan with Frontale and he finally gave Spurs supporters something to cheer about with his winning strike.
