Manchester United news: Paul Pogba appears to clash with Jesse Lingard in Twitter video amid exit speculation

Paul Pogba appeared to be involved in an altercation with Manchester United team-mate Jesse Lingard during the club’s pre-season tour.

The Frenchman is heavily expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after expressing his desire for a ‘new challenge’, with his agent Mino Raiola also confirming the midfielder wants to go.

He has travelled to Perth with the Red Devils amid interest from Juventus and Real Madrid, but it seems the 26-year-old may have already burned bridges.

In a video shared by the Red Devils on Twitter, he can be seen exchanging heated words with close pal Lingard during a stroll through Perth.

Pogba then appears to step towards his team-mate, who looks far from pleased, before Victor Lindelof grabs hold of the Frenchman, seemingly to diffuse the situation.

It heightens speculation surrounding Pogba’s potential exit and raises more criticism of his attitude towards the club this summer.

Neil Custis, The Sun’s Old Trafford correspondent, joined talkSPORT on Sunday to brand Pogba and his agent ‘an absolute disgrace’ for their recent behaviour.

“Paul Pogba will go down as the most disliked Manchester United player of all time,” the sports writer said.

“Pogba and his agent have engineered a situation where it simply just can’t go on.

“What Pogba and his agent have done is an absolutely disgrace to Manchester United.

“If this was my club, I would be absolutely appalled by the way he has treated them.

“This is the biggest football club in the world, so to feel like he is bigger than that, and to treat it the way he has having not actually played very well for the three seasons he’s been back at the club, it’s an absolute disgrace.”
