WWE seems to have a different opinion than Paige regarding why she was handed down a 60-day mandatory suspension earlier this week.
As noted, WWE Superstar Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) violated the WWE Wellness Policy for the second time, which prompted WWE to issue a 60-day suspension. Paige, along with several members of her family, would go on to criticize WWE for suspending her because they felt she violated the program as a result of her taken prescribed medication with a doctor’s note.
On Wednesday, WWE issued the following statement to NYPost.com claiming it was an “illegal substance,” not a “prescription drug,” that Paige tested positive for. Check out their statement below.
“Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug. In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.”
