West Ham have a chance to sign striker target Maxi Gomez after having a £29million bid accepted by Celta Vigo.
The 22-year-old Uruguay international has been linked with a host of suitors after scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 35 LaLiga games this season.
The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa were said to be chasing the youngster this summer, but, according to Sky Sports News, the Hammers are leading the race for his signature.
That race is not won yet, though, as Valencia have also had their own offer accepted by Celta Vigo – meaning the player will now choose whether to move to the Premier League with West Ham or remain in Spain.

It is also claimed Manuel Pellegrini could confirm a fifth summer signing soon, having also made a £13m bid for Eibar defensive midfielder Joan Jordan, 24.
West Ham are also said to be interested in 21-year-old Lorient forward Alexis Claude-Maurice, also a target for Arsenal, Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson and Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
