Wonder Woman asserts her power with wrists clad in a pair of indestructible gauntlets, exceptional strength, and the Lasso of Truth. But Israeli actress Gal Gadot prefers to flaunt hers with a spritz of perfume (she's the face of Gucci Bamboo). After serving a couple of years in the Israeli military, Gadot, 30, is now tackling the role of the Amazonian warrior princess in this month's Batman v Superman. I chatted with her about her favorite scents and what she missed about living in Israel.
What's your earliest scent memory? "Sneaking into my mother's bathroom and spraying myself with many different perfumes."
So you've always been a fragrance fan? "Yeah, I've always loved perfume. When I go to the duty-free shops, I go and smell all the new fragrances. It's something I'm curious about; it's something I enjoy."
What would Wonder Woman smell like? "The ocean. Free, refreshing, and endless."
When you're traveling, what is the one thing you miss most about Israel? "The Mediterranean Sea. I live by it. And my name means wave' in Hebrew. So I guess it has something to do with the fact that I love the ocean so much."
