According to L’Équipe, Premier League newcomers Watford have had an €8.5m bid for Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré rejected, but are still hopeful of reaching a deal before the transfer window shuts.
Watford came back to Rennes yesterday to re-open negotiations about making an improved offer for the player. Rennes want €12m.
