According to our colleagues at L’Équipe, Sunderland have reached a multi-million Euro agreement with Ligue 1 side Lorient for the transfer of central defender Lamine Koné.
The deal has been brokered by agent Mark McKay, the son of Willie McKay, who is attempting to take over the Anglo-Franco market from his father.

Sam Allardyce gave the go ahead for Sunderland’s representatives to attempt to sign the player after watching him at the Parc des Princes face PSG in a recent Ligue 1 match.
Personal terms have however yet to be agreed.
