ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Village Board has authorized an economic incentive agreement with soon-to-be-opened Sable Creek Winery.

Sable Creek Winery was first approved by the Board in March. The new business will be located in the former Marquette Bank building, 1876 W. Airport Road.

Artisan wines will be produced on-site.

Village Attorney Rich Vogel said the economic incentive agreement is proposing that for the first three years of the winery’s operation, the business will get a 50 percent rebate of Village sales tax, and food and beverage taxes.

“There is also going to be a waiver of building permits for the renovation work that is going to need to take place,” Vogel said.
