HOLLYWOOD, CA — Good news, Runyon Canyon dog walkers: New dog-poop bag dispensers are on the way.
The nonprofit Friends of Runyon Canyon Foundation recently donated six new dog-poop bag dispensers to the city. The dispensers will be installed on existing poles located throughout Runyon Canyon Park, replacing existing dispensers city officials called “dilapidated” in a report.
Additionally, the foundation plans to stock the dispensers with dog-poop bags for at least the next five years.

The 160-acre Runyon Canyon Park is a popular destination for hiking, walking and jogging, beloved for its panoramic views of the mountains and city. It also includes a designated off-leash dog area, picnic tables and open space.
It sees a whopping 2 million human visitors a year, according to the foundation.

The Friends of Runyon Canyon Foundation has a relationship with the city to raise money for preservation, maintain and beautification of the park, according to city documents.
