Dragon Lee signed new WWE main roster contract

With his call-up to SmackDown, Dragon Lee has officially signed a new WWE main roster contract.

In the new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Lee signed his new main roster deal last week. Lee made his SmackDown in-ring debut last month and was then added to the SmackDown roster page on WWE's website.

Meltzer wrote:

Dragon Lee signed his new main roster deal last week. Basically it made it worth it to him of having signed the NXT deal rather than the offered AEW deal. As noted, he went to people who knew the U.S. scene who told him he’d be lost in the shuffle in AEW. Previously people would have said not to go to WWE given their track record with all the wrestlers who came from Mexico besides Alberto Del Rio.

Lee signed with WWE in December 2022 and debuted for NXT this March.

Before his official main roster call-up, Lee faced Dominik Mysterio on an episode of Raw this September.

Lee picked up a victory over Cedric Alexander on SmackDown last week.

Lee's brothers Rush and Dralistico are both signed to AEW.
