STAMFORD, CT — Cove Road is closed in all directions to all traffic in the area of Seaside Avenue due to a car crash that took out a pole and caused “significant damage,” police told Patch Monday night, noting there were no major injuries.
Stamford Public Safety originally announced the road closure due to “police activity” at 8:23 p.m.
Details on what caused the crash or how many other vehicles might be involved were not immediately available.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. The crash is being investigated by the Stamford Police Department Patrol Division.
