Don Callis was legitimately injured in a backstage angle on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, according to a report.
PWInsider reports that Callis was legitimately hurt during a backstage angle where the Blackpool Combat Club attacked Callis and Hangman Page.
As shown in the screenshot above, Callis was seen bleeding on camera after eating a Jon Moxley forearm and falling to the ground. The PWInsider report states that Callis hit his head as he fell, leading to the cut.
After the angle, the announcers stated that Callis was being examined by medical staff backstage, and the report notes that was a legitimate update.
Callis was apologizing to Page after an angle on last week's show where he took a phantom bump in the ring as Page attempted to save Kenny Omega from a BCC attack after his win over El Hijo Del Vikingo in Dynamite's main event. Page has reunited with The Elite's Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson in storyline, but Omega has yet to reconcile his storyline differences with Page.
