WWE returned to Madison Square Garden earlier this week for a very special live event. The company went all out for their return to MSG as it featured just about all of the names and faces from the Raw roster, a tag team match featuring NXT Superstars, and the in-ring return of John Cena. Unfortunately for the company, this lineup was not enough to pack the arena with fans. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this week’s MSG live event saw an attendance of 11,900 fans, which is a significantly smaller number of attendees than WWE usually scores for their shows in the famous arena. It will be interesting to see how WWE responds to the attendance number, especially since tickets for the G1 Supercard show in MSG this April have already sold out.
Fans still have months to go until WrestleMania 35 takes place, but Wrestle Kingdom 13 will be airing in only a few more days. Wrestle Kingdom typically features some of the best wrestling talent of the year, and it is undoubtedly a huge event for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Wrestle Kingdom 13 will be coming to the Tokyo Dome on January 4th once again, but when will the show begin? Twitter user Chris Carlton has discovered that the pre-show for Wrestle Kingdom will begin at 4pm JST, which equates to around 2am ET. The main show is set to start at 3am ET. The card for Wrestle Kingdom 13 is absolutely loaded, and the event is expected to be headlined by Kenny Omega defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

If you’re watching Wrestle Kingdom 13 on World:
4pm JST: NEVER gauntlet
4:50pm JST: opening and announcements for big 2019 cards
5pm main card start.

As seen during WWE’s TLC pay-per-view earlier this month, Asuka won a TLC match in the main event of the show to become the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Asuka’s win means that Becky Lynch is no longer the champion of the blue brand, and it also means that she has received new custom sides plates for the title. The formerly undefeated wrestler posted an image on her Instagram account showing of the brand new plates on the title. “The Empress of Tomorrow” is now in her first reign as the champion, and having the side plates switched out has become a tradition for brand new champions in WWE. For those who may be interested in seeing what the plates look like, the image from Asuka has been posted down below:
