Rangers team news: Predicted XI as Steven Gerrard’s side prepare for Europa League qualifier against St Joseph’s

Rangers will be confident of progressing to the next stage of Europa League qualifying when they take on St Joseph’s tonight for the second leg of their first round tie.

Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelo scored for Steven Gerrard’s men after a goalless first-half in Gibraltar, while on loan Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo netted on his competitive debut in a 4-0 win.

The Scottish Premiership side should have little trouble of repeating or eclipsing the first-leg scoreline against St Joseph’s, who have a teacher, two policemen, a gardener and an electrician in their line-up of mostly part-time players.

Former Liverpool midfielder Gerrard, may be tempted to play some of the younger members of his squad including teenager Josh McPake.

The 17-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from Roma and Liverpool and is rated highly down at Ibrox.

McPake was meant to feature in a development game with Cambridge United, but Gerrard explained on Wednesday why he did not feature.

I pulled Josh out of the game as he’s in the plans for tomorrow,” said Gerrard.

While it is unclear whether McPake will start the match or come on, Gerrard is likely to make a few changes.
