Chelsea legend Didier Drogba led the tributes to Peter Crouch following his retirement from football.
Crouch, who played for a number of clubs including Tottenham and Liverpool, called time on a playing career that spanned more than two decades.
It also saw him win 42 caps for England, netting 22 times to make him their tenth highest scorer.
The striker, who featured at the 2006 World Cup, also spent time with Southampton, Portsmouth and Stoke before finishing with a brief spell at Burnley last season.

Announcing his decision in the Daily Mail, Crouch wrote: “I have had 23 years to prepare for this moment but, now it is here, you realise nothing can prepare you at all.
“The time has come refer to myself as a ‘former footballer’; this incredible journey I have been on since I was 16 is over.”
Drogba, who shared the pitch numerous times with Crouch during his time in the Premier League said on Twitter: “Quality player and a nice guy his finishing was on (target) Enjoy it” @petercrouch.
Among the farewell messages, former Middlesbrough player Martin de Roon posted a hilarious picture of himself and Crouch, who has had his height exaggerated for the purpose of the joke, despite already standing 6ft 7.
Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara sent a good luck post, while Liverpool and Portsmouth both wished their former player all the best.
