Aaron Wan-Bissaka is edging closer to completing his move to Manchester United after talks with Crystal Palace were held on Friday night.

The two Premier League sides are set to agree on a £42.5million fee for the the defender followed by add-ons.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, has three years left on his current deal at Palace and after a standout couple of seasons in the first-team, is rated at around £60m by his club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add the the player to his squad.

With Antonio Valencia leaving Old Trafford on a free and Ashley Young the only recognised senior full-back, Solskjaer was keen to reinforce the full-back position.

A product of the Palace academy, Wan-Bissaka began his career as a winger, but reverted to a full-back due to his tenacity and defensive nous – and has not looked back since being given his full Palace debut by Roy Hodgson in a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in February 2018.

Currently away on England U21 duty, Wan-Bissaka was dropped for the 4-2 defeat to Romania which confirmed their exit from the European Championships.

His omission came after he scored an injury-time goal in a 2-1 defeat to France three days earlier.
